Looking Forward to the Holidays......

It's about time we stop just posting pictures and start writing what Mr. Charlie Cole is up to these days. He is becoming such a little boy and no longer just sits around, poops his pants, etc. He is developing such a personality and watching it all is amazing to say the least. Although he still LOVES cars and trains more than anything he also loves to play with his friends (especially Allie and Simon) and is VERY independent. He wants to do almost everything himself. Which is nice except when I'm trying to get out the door in the morning and it takes him 5 minutes to pull up his pants, 3 minutes to put his shoes on or another 5 minutes to buckle his car seat up. But everything is "Charlie do it" and I'm TRYING to be patient with him.

His favorite movie right now is Polar Express (he knows EVERY schene) and we plan to take him on the actual Polar express sometime in December. It is stopping by the Texas State Railroad :) He is ALMOST fully potty trained but we are still having some issues with #2. He still goes in his pants but immediately gets an ashamed look on his face and tells me he went "poopy" But we know when he has to go pee because right before he has to go he'll say "No pee pee self, no poopy self" That's signal for get on the potty....although for some strange reason he NEVER says it when he has to go #2. We'll get there.

He is very polite and whenever anyone sneezes (or him for that matter) he says "Bless You". He says "Thank You" MOST of the time and "Please" when he REALLY wants something. And a day doesn't go by that he doesn't hug us and tell us "Wuv you Mommy, Wuv you Daddy"

The other day Josh had a pair of work shoes on that he usually doesn't wear. When he picked Charlie up from school, Josh got him out of the car and Charlie starting cracking up laughing. Josh asked him what was so funny and he said "Daddy's shoes silly" So he's already laughing at the way his parents dress.

After all the ear aches, tummy issues, milk issues, and being on our own here in TX I never thought I'd bring myself to want another one....but I must admit I knid of do. Every day that he gets older and seeing him learn and grow I've realized he has filled a void in our lives that we never knew was there. We just need to convince Daddy of this.....

Can't wait to see everyone over the Holidays and I pray that Charlie stays happy and healthy so you can all enjoy him the way we have lately!
